The Israeli occupation army demolished on Thursday morning a rainwater collection pond in the Palestinian village of Marj Na’ja in the northern Jordan Valley.
Local official Aref Daraghmeh said that the destroyed pond belonged to a farmer from the village and was used to irrigate crops.
Daraghmeh affirmed that the Israeli occupation authority systematically demolishes Palestinian homes and vital structures across the northern Jordan Valley while giving Jewish settlers a free hand to build illegal outposts on Palestinian lands in the area.
In a separate incident the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) delivered a demolition order against a poultry house in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
Local official Fuaad al-Amour said that the IOF stormed in the morning at-Tuwani village in Masafer Yatta and handed Suleiman al-Adra a military notice ordering him to evacuate a poultry house within 96 hours as a prelude to demolishing it.
On Wednesday the IOF demolished several Palestinian homes sheep pens and agricultural sheds in different hamlets of Masafer Yatta.
The high court in Occupied Jerusalem recently rejected a petition submitted by residents of 12 Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta against an Israeli army decision designating their areas as “firing zones.”
The Israeli decision to demolish these Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta will lead to the displacement of about 4000 civilians including children.
