Wednesday 11-May-2022

Qatar’s ministry of foreign affairs has condemned the killing of Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh by the Israeli occupation forces in Jenin refugee camp today morning.

“Israeli occupation killed Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by shooting her in the face while wearing the Press vest and a helmet. She was covering their attack in Jenin refugee camp” spokeswoman for the ministry Lolwah al-Khater said on her Twitter page.

She called on the international community to curb such state-sponsored Israeli terrorism and ending its unconditional support for Israel.

Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot dead by Israeli sniper fire on Wednesday morning as she and other journalists were working on covering an IOF raid in Jenin refugee camp.

The Qatar-based Al Jazeera satellite channel said Abu Akleh 51 was shot “deliberately” and “in cold blood” by Israeli forces. Another reporter working for the same channel was also shot and wounded.
