The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launch a campaign of persecution and arrest against Palestinian workers and impose heavy fines on them.
The PPS said in a terse statement on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day on Sunday that hundreds of Palestinian workers are persecuted by the IOF and beaten during their arrest.
The society pointed out that the detained workers are severely beaten during their detention process but are forced to sign papers claiming that they had all their rights and were not beaten. Furthermore they are punished by heavy fines despite their difficult financial conditions it added.
