The Hamas Movement has called on the Palestinian masses to join forces in defense of Occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque on the eve of Friday and participate in “the Great Fajr” (dawn) prayer tomorrow at the Islamic holy site.
In a statement on Thursday Hamas urged the Palestinian citizens from across the occupied territories to start marching en masse today to the Aqsa Mosque for prayers and I’tikaf (religious retreat) in order to protect it against desecration especially after Jewish settler groups announced their intent to practice animal sacrifice within the Mosque’s walls.
“Our people’s ongoing keenness on being present at the Aqsa Mosque’s Great Fajr gatherings reflects the size of their unity and steadfastness in the face of the Zionist occupation and its settler groups as well as their adherence to their national rights especially Jerusalem that is dyed with the martyrs’ pure blood” the Movement underlined.
