One Palestinian young man was killed and many others were wounded during clashes on Wednesday night with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Silwad town north of Ramallah.
According to the Palestinian health ministry 20-year-old Omar Alyan died of a bullet injury in his chest and 11 others suffered from different injuries during a violent IOF raid on Silwad town.
Later the IOF encircled a medical center in Silwad where a number of the wounded citizens were receiving medical assistance in an attempt to storm it and make arrests.
Local sources said that three young men were kidnaped during the IOF campaign in Silwad.
A photojournalist working for WAFA news agency also said that an IOF vehicle ran over a young man in Silwad and injured him adding that several soldiers gathered around a new house in the village as a prelude to storming it.
In a separate incident an elderly man identified as 80-year-old Ibrahim Salah was injured when stun grenade fired by an Israeli soldier struck his face as he was standing on the balcony of his home in al-Khader town west of Bethlehem.
Dozens of citizens also suffered from their exposure to tear gas during clashes with the IOF in the town on Wednesday evening.
