Israeli police continue attacks in Bab al-Amud

Saturday 9-April-2022

The Israeli police forces brutally attacked Palestinian citizens in the vicinity of Bab al-Amud in the occupied city of Jerusalem on Friday evening.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a brief statement that “its crews dealt with two injuries during the Israeli attack in Bab Al-Amud one of them was transferred to hospital for treatment.”

Quds Press reported Israeli undercover operatives arrested two young men during the Bab Al-Amud confrontation after being severely beaten and taken in a police car to an unknown detention center.

Earlier thousands of Palestinians managed to perform Tarawih prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli restrictions on Palestinians’ access into the holy site.

Following the prayer the worshipers gathered in the compound’s courtyards and chanted pro-resistance and anti-occupation slogans holding a large photo of the leader of the Al-Qassam Brigades Muhammad Al-Deif.

Earlier on Friday 80000 Palestinian worshipers performed the first Friday prayer of the holy month of Ramadan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem despite the Israeli strict measures.

Meanwhile Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli military checkpoint on Mount Gerizim illegal settlement in Nablus.

Palestinian young men also threw Molotov cocktails at a military tower south of Dura town in al-Khalil.
