Israeli court sentences Hamas political leader to 22 months

NABLUS (PIC)– An Israeli military court on Tuesday passed a 22-month imprisonment term against Dr. Mohammed Ghazal one of the Hamas Movement’s political leaders in Nablus city after spending 15 months in occupation jails without trial or charge.

Lawyer Fares Abul Hassan from the international Tadamon (solidarity) institution said that Dr. Ghazal a lecturer at the Najah University in Nablus was sentenced to three months administrative detention (without trial or charge) before his case was referred to a military court.

He explained that the Salem military court passed the sentence and noted that the Hamas leader was arrested on 25/9/2005.
