Occupied Jerusalem is threatened with a large number of settlement projects recently approved by the Israeli authorities.
The Palestinian activist Mazen Al-Jabari said that the new settlement plans aim to remove the Green Line and to besiege Jerusalem with settlement construction completely separating it from the West Bank.
Judaizing Lifta
One of the declared settlement schemes is scheduled to be implemented in Lifta town in Occupied Jerusalem.

The project penetrates the central station and a train station. It also includes adding two floors to six buildings in the area.
The settlement plan is to be built on a total area of 6740 square feet.

The project also includes the demolition and removal of old houses the historic mosque of the village and houses dating back to hundreds of years.
High-rise buildings are planned to be built on the ruins of the Palestinian facilities.
The plan will lead to the expansion of Jewish settlement neighborhoods south of Occupied Jerusalem.
Bab Al-Khalil Judaization plan
Bab Al-Khalil Judaization plan is considered one of the most dangerous settlement projects targeting the history of the occupied city.
40 million shekels were allocated to implement the project which includes the establishment of several commercial buildings underground museums and wiping out the historical monuments in Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Square.
The Judaization project has been first presented by “Clore Israel Foundation” with the support of the Israeli municipal authorities and the Israeli government.
