The Hamas Movement has called on all the Palestinians who could reach the Aqsa Mosque to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque next Friday to observe the Great Fajr prayer.
In a statement on Wednesday Hamas said that the coming Great Fajr prayer would be called “the Fajr of the Free Women” to honor the Palestinian women for their steadfastness in all arenas of struggle especially at the Aqsa Mosque.
The Movement stressed that the massive popular participation in the Great Fajr campaign reflects the vitality of the Palestinian people and their ability to defend their legitimate rights and resist the occupation’s violations targeting the Aqsa Mosque and its settlement and Judaization projects.
The Great Fajr Campaign was organized for the first time in November 2020 to protect the Islamic holy sites especially the Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque against Israel’s persistent violations.
This mass prayer campaign is seen by its organizers as “a message of defiance to the Israeli occupation state and a warning that the Palestinian holy sites are red lines.”
