Two Palestinian young men were injured on Friday evening after a Jewish settler opened fire at them near the Hizma checkpoint in east Jerusalem.
Immediately following the shooting a large number of troops spread on the road where the wounded young men were receiving first aid before an ambulance crew evacuated them to a hospital.
The young men were identified as Jawad and Mohamed Abu Khadija from the holy city. One of them suffered a bullet injury in his back.
According to local sources the settler brawled with the young men and then opened fire at them following a car accident.
There was no information if the settler was arrested by the police.
