The Palestinian ministry of health announced on Friday that 17 deaths 4040 new cases of coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 6934 recovery cases were recorded in the same period adding that 11 deaths were recorded in the West Bank and 6 others in the Gaza Strip.
It pointed out that 108 critically ill patients were admitted to intensive care units while 283 others were being treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 42 who have been placed on ventilators.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 89.2 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.9 percent and the death rate was 0.9 percent of all infections the ministry underlined.
It pointed out that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine over the past 24 hours in the West Bank was 4730 and 2751 in Gaza Strip
