Members in the Israeli Knesset stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil south of the occupied West Bank on Thursday morning.
Israeli media sources said that members of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs and Security Committee visited the Ibrahimi Mosque today and checked the ongoing Judaization processes there.
Last August Israeli Army Minister Benny Gantz approved a Judaization plan to build an electric elevator to facilitate the settlers’ break-ins into the Islamic holy site.
The plan mainly aims to increase settler control of the surrounding area and to alter the architectural and historical features of the site.
The plan came in total violation of the Hebron Protocol signed by the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Israel in 1997 which conferred the planning authority in the city to the PA.
