The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Monday morning bulldozed Palestinian-owned plots of land in the east Jerusalem district of Issawiya.
According to local sources Israeli bulldozers escorted by police forces leveled swaths of land in Hamayel al-Arab area in Issawiya district.
Israeli bulldozers also bulldozed anew a swath of land belonging to the family of Fadi Elyan the Aqsa Mosque guard whose home was demolished last March. This piece of land is the site of the demolished house.
A week ago police forces stormed a neighborhood in Issawiya and delivered a notice ordering a halt to the construction of a Mosque.
The IOA also displaced 21 Jerusalemite citizens after demolishing their building in Issawiya two weeks ago.
The IOA systematically carries out demolitions in Palestinian areas in east Jerusalem and the West Bank and makes it almost impossible for Palestinians to get building permits.
At the same time the Israeli government regularly plans and expands settlements across the occupied Palestinian territories.
