At least six Palestinians sustained different injuries including one seriously in the Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) raid into the West Bank city of Tubas on Tuesday.
Local sources affirmed that IOF soldiers barged their way into the city in the early morning hours amid intense firing of live ammunition and teargas bombs hitting six youths with live rounds.
The Palestinian Red Crescent crews affirmed that a young man was seriously injured after being shot in the chest while the five others sustained live gunshot injuries in their limbs. All the casualties were taken to the hospital for treatment it added.
Three more youths were arrested during the raid according to local sources.
Meanwhile local sources in other West Bank areas reported that the IOF rounded up eight other youths in al-Khalil Ramallah and Qalqilia after raiding their family homes at dawn Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday evening violent clashes erupted in Silat Al Dhaher south of Jenin near the evacuated Homesh settlement. Several citizens were treated for teargas inhalation during the confrontation as a result of the IOF intense firing of teargas bombs.
Similar clashes broke out in Burqa town in Nablus after local youths managed to remove Israeli barriers closing the town’s entrances.
Tension has been mounting across West Bank towns and cities over the past week after Jewish extremist settlers intensified their attacks throughout the occupied West Bank.
They have been trying to launch more attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property with the help of the Israeli occupation army.
