Palestinian detainee Hisham Abu Hawash 40 has entered on Friday day 130 of his hunger strike in Israeli jails in rejection of his administrative detention according to which he is detained without trial or charge for an indefinite period of time.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said that Abu Hawash a father of five children is facing slow death after the Israeli occupation authorities refused to move him to hospital despite his critical health condition.
For its part the International Committee of the Red Cross expressed deep concern over the serious health condition of Abu Hawash due to his prolonged hunger strike.
It further stressed the urgent need to provide him with the needed medical care.
Abu Hawash was detained in October 2020 and held in administrative detention for six months that was renewed more than once.
