NAZARETH (PIC) — Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Abul Ghaith is to pay an official visit to the Hebrew state within the few coming days according to the Hebrew radio on Monday.
The broadcast quoted the Egyptian ambassador to Tel Aviv Mohammed Ibrahim as saying that preparations were underway for Abul Ghaith’s visit.
He added that the visit was agreed upon during a recent meeting in Finland between Abul Ghaith and his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni.
Israeli political sources told the radio that the Egyptian chief diplomat was supposed to arrive in Israel on Monday but Israeli premier Ehud Olmert’s visit to Europe led to postponing his arrival in Tel Aviv.
