Israeli court jails two Jerusalemites extends detention of others

An Israeli court on Wednesday sentenced two Jerusalemite young men to jail and extended the detention of two others in the occupied holy city.

According to the Jerusalemite prisoner committee the district court in Jerusalem sentenced Yazan Obeidat 19 to four years and four months in jail and Hashim Obeidat 19 to two years.

Meanwhile an Israeli court also extended the detention of Mohamed Obeidat and Maher Obeidat until December 22.

The four young men who were kidnaped at the beginning of the current year from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber have been accused of throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at an Israeli settlement.

On Tuesday an Israeli court in Jerusalem approved the detention of Anas Qasem administratively for six months. He is a resident of Silwan district south of the Aqsa Mosque and was kidnaped from his home on October 28 2021.
