The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday kidnaped at least 21 Palestinian citizens mainly during dawn campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources the IOF kidnaped an ex-detainee identified as Hamed Maslamani from his home in Tubas City.
Four other citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF campaign in Surif town northwest of al-Khalil. They were identified as Ahmed Ghunaimat Khaled Ghunaimat Ali Ghunaimat and Musab al-Hoar.
The IOF also kidnaped a young man identified as Thaer Shawahneh from Jenin and two citizens identified as Alaa at-Tashtoush from Nablus City and Yousef Hamdan from Asira al-Qibliya village.
In east Jerusalem police forces kidnaped 11 Palestinians from their homes in Issawiya district.
Two others identified as Mohamed and Ra’ed Zayed were kidnaped from their homes in Qalandia refugee camp east Jerusalem.
In a separate incident the IOF on Wednesday evening kidnaped a Palestinian passenger at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip as he was trying to get approval for travel with his sick wife to the occupied territories.
The detained passenger was identified as Hasan Abu Mustafa from Khan Yunis in Gaza.
Instead of being denied travel and sent back to Gaza the IOF kidnaps many Gazan citizens including merchants and patients after they submit requests for travel through the Beit Hanoun crossing and later go there to be interviewed in order to receive final approval.
During the current year the IOF already kidnaped four passengers from Gaza as they were trying to travel through the same crossing.
