In the midst of the shameful Arab normalization race the Israeli occupation state and its Jewish extremists have recently accelerated on an unprecedented scale their incitement and provocation campaigns against the Aqsa Mosque and its Dome of the Rock as part of their attempts to build the alleged temple.
The latest of those incitement campaigns was what was circulated on social media by extremist rabbi Yaacov Hayman an American citizen and head of a temple mount group. He recently posted a picture of himself standing in front of the Dome of the Rock prayer hall at the Aqsa Mosque with an announcement calling for destroying this building.
On his Facebook page Hayman announced his need for an architect specializing in demolishing facilities and buildings in order to remove the Dome of the Rock from what he called the temple mount. He also expressed his hope that the Jewish temple could be open soon.
A similar dangerous precedent already happened when extremist settler groups submitted a proposal to the Israeli government calling for dismantling the Dome of the Rock prayer building at the Aqsa Mosque and building a Jewish temple in its place.
The Aqsa Mosque compound is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces while the Palestinian Islamic Awqaf authority in the holy city always faces Israeli restrictions preventing it from renovating the holy site which is under Jordan’s Hashemite custodianship.
In August 1967 the Israeli occupation army seized the key to one of the Aqsa Mosque’s gates “al-Maghariba Gate” (Moroccan Gate). Nowadays the Gate is used for daily break-ins by Jewish settlers and police forces and it is completely controlled by the Israeli police which in fact have no jurisdiction over the Islamic holy site.
Over long years the Aqsa Mosque has seen waves of incidents and violations committed by soldiers and settlers as part of Israeli efforts to take over the holy city.
Dr. Jamal Amr a noted specialist in Jerusalem and Aqsa affairs told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the Zionist Movement and its wings used to adopt some kind of secrecy and silence in general when intending to commit crimes and violations or announce their malicious plans but recently the Arab normalization of ties with the occupation state encouraged them to brag about their actions and intents more openly and blatantly.
Dr. Amr pointed out that Hayman’s remarks about the Dome of the Rock should not be surprising because every Zionist Jew thinks likewise.
He expressed his belief that the settler break-ins that happen almost on a daily basis at the Aqsa Mosque under police protection are backed by the Israeli government warning that the Zionist intents to harm the Aqsa Mosque are serious and real and that what is made public in this regard is considered nothing compared to what is being prepared in camera.
He also warned of a diabolical plan masterminded by 28 Zionist organizations and backed by the world’s criminal masters including France to repeat the Ibrahimi Mosque scenario at the Aqsa Mosque.
