The Israeli police forces stormed Sunday afternoon Shafaat refugee camp in Occupied Jerusalem and broke into the house of the suspect of the shooting operation that was carried out Sunday morning in the Old City.
Earlier Sunday a Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli police forces after he opened fire at two Jewish settlers in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.
The shooter was identified as Fadi Abu Shkhaydam a teacher from Shuafat refugee camp in east Jerusalem.
Local sources reported Israeli forces stormed Abu Shkhaydam’s house in large numbers accompanied with intelligence officials and violently searched the house.
All the family members were held in one room the sources added.
Fadi Abu Shkhaydam’s brother Wissam was detained during the raid and taken to an unknown detention center.
The martyr’s students were also summoned for investigation according to the sources.
Clashes erupted in the vicinity of Abu Shkhaydam’s house amid heavy firing of teargas bombs by Israeli forces.
Meanwhile at least three Palestinians were arrested in al-Aqsa Mosque including a woman.
