The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday evening stormed Rummanah village west of Jenin and attacked local residents with tear gas.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that many citizens inside their homes suffered from their exposure to tear gas after Israeli forces fired volleys of tear gas canisters in the village’s alleys and streets.
They added that the IOF spread on the roads clashed with local youths and imposed a curfew on the villagers.
Rummanah village is located near the Salem military base which was built on annexed land.
In separate incidents the IOF on the same day blocked the entrances to Azzun town in eastern Qalqilya.
Azzun mayor Majed Adwan said that IOF soldiers were deployed on the road barrier at the main entrance to his town and closed its western entrance with mounds of dirt and rocks adding that the IOF prevented the local residents from entering or leaving the town.
In al-Khalil city violent clashes broke out between local youths and Israeli soldiers in Bab az-Zawiya area.
Local sources said that the clashes started at the military barrier in ash-Shuhada street before soldiers stormed the central area of the city and embarked on randomly firing tear gas grenades at Palestinian citizens in Bab az-Zawiya which is considered the commercial hub of the city.
