The Israeli occupation police on Saturday evening assaulted and detained a Palestinian child near Bab al-Amud area in the Old City of Jerusalem.
According to local sources police officers kidnaped and brutalized a kid during his presence in a street near Bab al-Amud.
Meanwhile the Israeli police intensified the presence of its forces in Bab al-Amud and its vicinity as part of a campaign they launched in recent days to prevent Palestinian young men from gathering and sitting in the area.
In a separate incident a horde of extremist Jewish settlers on the same day attacked Palestinian citizens in Jaber neighborhood in the Old City of al-Khalil.
Local activist Aref Jaber said that settlers escorted by soldiers stormed Jaber neighborhood assaulted a kid with pepper spray threw trash at them and verbally attacked them.
