Friday 8-October-2021

Dozens of Palestinian youths were injured after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) suppressed anti-occupation protests held on Friday across the West Bank and Jerusalem.

At least one young man suffered rubber bullet injuries in Beit Dajan and Beita anti-settlement protests in Nablus while dozens others suffered breathing problems due to the heavy firing of tear gas bombs by Israeli army troops.

Similar marches were also held in Biddu town northwest of occupied Jerusalem. However Israeli police violently attacked the peaceful protesters injuring many of them.

Meanwhile three Palestinians were injured by IOF soldiers during the anti-settlement weekly demonstration in Kafr Qaddum in Qalqilya.

Local sources said that the IOF intervened and used tear gas as well as live and rubber bullets. Palestinians responded by throwing stones. At least three people were injured by rubber bullets.

In al-Khalil Hamas Movement organized a solidarity event in support of the Palestinian prisoner Miqdad al-Qawasma who continues his hunger strike for the 79th consecutive day.

Al-Qawasma was recently moved to the intensive care unit at the Kaplan Hospital due to a serious decline in his health condition.

Al-Qawasma family has held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for his life and appealed to international human rights groups to necessarily intervene to save him before it is too late.
