Israeli court gives two Jerusalemite citizens conditional release

An Israeli court on Sunday released Jerusalemite prisoner Medhat al-Issawi on condition of staying away from his home in Issawiya district for several days and paying a financial penalty.

According to the Israeli verdict Issawi was ordered to pay 2500 shekels and not to enter his home for 18 days as prerequisites for his release.

Issawi who was banished arrested and jailed several times before was kidnaped from his home on September 23.

Another Jerusalemite citizen called Wisam Sidr was also released after the court decided to fine him and place him under house arrest. He was arrested on September 17 in the Old City.
