Two children seriously injured by settlers and IOF in W. Bank

A Palestinian child was seriously injured on Tuesday evening when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him and others in al-Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil City.

According to local sources a 12-year-old child was critically injured after the IOF stormed al-Arroub camp and clashed with local youths.

The kid suffered a bullet injury in his back and was rushed to the Arab Society Hospital in Bethlehem where he immediately underwent surgery.

In a separate incident a number of Palestinians including a child were injured when a horde of extremist Jewish settlers went on the rampage through a number of Palestinian hamlets in Masafer Yatta area south of al-Khalil.

Local sources said that settlers assaulted local residents of several hamlets in Masafer Yatta and wreaked havoc on cars solar panels trees and crops and other properties.

They added that a number of local residents suffered injuries and bruises including a child and a young man from the family of Hamamdeh who were stabbed by settlers. The child was seriously wounded.

Soon later Israeli forces intervened and fired volleys of tear gas and stun grenades at the local residents in the area to provide protection for the settlers.

The IOF also kidnaped two elderly men identified as Shahadah al-Hamamdeh 62 and activist Suleiman al-Haddalin 75 during the settler attack on al-Mafqarah hamlet in Masafer Yatta.

Meanwhile the IOF stormed along with a large number of settlers al-Tuwanah village in Masafer Yatta and assaulted and injured many local residents.
