The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Saturday kidnaped a number of Palestinian young men from their homes and clashed with others in different West Bank areas.
According to local sources the IOF kidnaped Mohamed al-Barghouthi the son of senior Hamas official Omar al-Barghouthi after breaking into and ransacking his home in Kobar town north of Ramallah.
Local youths clashed with the IOF in Kobar town and threw stones and homemade fire bombs at their vehicles.
The IOF also stormed al-Mazra’ah al-Qibliya village in western Ramallah and kidnaped two young men identified as Mustafa Shreiteh and Yehya Ladadwa after raiding their homes.
Another young man was taken prisoner during an IOF raid on his home in al-Jalazon refugee camp north of Ramallah. He was identified as Mohamed ash-Shenni.
Clashes also broke out in Birzeit town north of Ramallah where local youths hurled stones and Molotov cocktails at IOF vehicles.
In Nablus dozens of young men clashed with Israeli soldiers after they attended the funeral of martyr Mohamed Khabisa who was shot dead by IOF gunfire during skirmishes near Mount Sobeih in Beita town.
Palestinian journalist Mujahed Mufleh explained that after they marched in the funeral of Khabisa local young men unleashed their anger on a construction site where the Israeli occupation authority set up recently as a prelude to building a bypass road for Jewish settlers in the west of Beita town.
Mufleh added that the young men set fire to building materials on the site and confiscated quantities of steel rods before clashing with soldiers.
