The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night kidnaped a Palestinian citizen during his presence near the northern maritime border of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Chief of the fishermen syndicate Nizar Ayyash said that Israeli naval soldiers kidnaped a citizen as he was swimming off the northern shore of Gaza near the sea border with 1948 occupied Palestine (Israel).
An army spokesperson claimed on Wednesday that soldiers aboard a gunboat spotted a Palestinian last night swimming in Israel’s southern waters near the maritime border with Gaza and arrested him.
The spokesperson added that an initial interrogation with the detainee found that he had no motives to infiltrate into Israel or carry out an attack.
He said the man would remain in custody for further investigation.
