Extremist Jewish settlers and Israeli forces on Wednesday morning attacked Palestinian homes and citizens in al-Khalil City south of the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources a horde of settlers stormed Jaber neighborhood near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil and showered homes with stones and empty bottles.
A number of local residents hastened to defend themselves and their homes but Israeli soldiers provided protection for the settlers.
Eyewitnesses said that the soldiers intensively fired stun grenades and live ammunition at the local residents and raided homes in Jaber neighborhood causing panic among women and children.
Israeli forces also assaulted a number of Palestinian citizens in ash-Shuhada street of al-Khalil City obstructed their movement and prevented them from reaching their homes.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation forces broke into and ransacked several homes in al-Khalil City and stole 50000 shekels from a citizen during one of those raids.
They also raided homes in the towns of Yatta and Deir Samet south of al-Khalil.
