Three Jerusalemite teens to serve jail terms after long home detention

Sunday 29-August-2021

Three Jerusalemite teenagers on Sunday turned themselves in to the Israeli occupation police at the Moskobiya detention center in west Jerusalem to start their prison terms after one and a half years of house confinement.

Being escorted by their families and friends the teenagers Omar Abul-Saud Tayseer an-Natsheh and Ali Naser went to the Moskobiya center to start serving prison terms of between 10 and 11 months.

The teenagers had been kidnaped and assaulted by Israeli plain-clothes officers in April 2020 and later they were indicted for throwing homemade fire bombs at police forces in Ras al-Amud neighborhood of the east Jerusalem district of Silwan.

Following several court hearings they were released on condition of staying under house arrest for over one year in places other than their residences but later they were allowed to return to their parents’ houses in Ras al-Amud to complete their home detention sentences.

Eventually they had to turn themselves in today after an Israeli court sentenced them to several months in jail upon completion of their home detention.
