The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Saturday that six deaths 1237 new cases of the coronavirus and 433 recoveries were recorded after conducting 5991 examinations during the past 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 94.6 percent while the rate of active infections reached 4.3 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
It stated that the new infections were distributed as follows: 510 cases in the West Bank and 727 in the Gaza Strip.
Four COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the West Bank while two deaths were reported in the Gaza Strip the ministry added.
The ministry said that the new recovery cases were distributed geographically to 269 in the West Bank and 164 in the Gaza Strip.
It pointed out that 46 critically ill patients were admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 815986 including 451337 who received the two doses of the vaccine the ministry statement concluded.
