The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday morning arrested a Palestinian young man after he tried to cross the border fence into Israel.

A spokesperson for the Israeli army claimed that soldiers rounded up a Palestinian after he crossed into an Israeli border area in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The spokesperson added that the detainee was interrogated after searching him and finding no weapon with him.

In recent years many Palestinian citizens had been arrested during similar attempts to infiltrate into the 1948 occupied territory through the border fence.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning detained a Palestinian young man after he tried to infiltrate into Israel from the Gaza Strip.

According to a spokesperson for the Israeli army soldiers arrested a Palestinian after he crossed through the security fence and walked towards Nahal Oz settlement east of Gaza.

The young man was sent back to Gaza after the IOF interrogated him and did not find any weapon with him.

According to the authorities in Gaza the young man has been put in quarantine and will undergo coronavirus tests.
