Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has described Jerusalem as “the pivot point of achieving the great victory and liberating the Palestinian land.”
Haneyya made his remarks online during the third international scholarly forum that was held in Gaza on the 52nd anniversary of the Arson attack on the Aqsa Mosque under the theme “The Sword of Jerusalem is the Gateway to Liberation.”
The Hamas political leader said that “the Sword of Jerusalem battle constituted an important turning point in the history of the conflict with the Israeli occupation and a decisive change that will leave a profound impact on the demise of the occupation.”
“Allah (God) helped us take the decision to defend the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem at the right time and in the right way during the Sword of Jerusalem battle” he added.
