A Palestinian young man with special needs was injured and detained after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him at a military checkpoint in the north of Bethlehem.
According to local sources Israeli soldiers at the Container checkpoint in northern Bethlehem opened fire at a young man with a disability as he was walking towards the checkpoint without posing any threat.
The young man suffered a bullet injury in his leg and was detained by the IOF.
There was no information about his identity and health condition.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the IOF closed the checkpoint in both directions following the incident causing a heavy build-up of traffic.
