Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 634555 including 427925 who received the two doses of the vaccine.

For its part the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned of three societal factors that will lead the Strip into a third wave of the COVID-19.

Majdy Duhair the Deputy Director-General of Primary Health Care at the Health Ministry stated in a written statement on Thursday that the first factor is the lack of commitment to safety and health prevention measures.

Duhair explained that the second factor is the low demand of citizens to receive vaccines as the percentage of those who have received vaccinations until now is 10 percent despite the availability of vaccines of all types in health centers.

He pointed out that the third factor is the severe overcrowding in the street without taking into account the health controls that must be taken by all members of society.
