The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Saturday that 136 new cases of the coronavirus and 33 recoveries were recorded after conducting 2699 examinations during the past 24 hours.
The ministry stated that the new infections were distributed geographically to 44 in the West Bank and 92 in the Gaza Strip.
It said that the new recovery cases were distributed geographically to 17 in the West Bank while 16 recoveries were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.5 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections the ministry added.
It pointed out that there are 11 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 608155 including 423340 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
