Confrontations erupted on Friday night and at dawn Saturday between Palestinian young men and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at the entrance to Beita town in Nablus province.
Local sources reported that IOF soldiers clashed with the citizens during the continued nighttime protest activities carried out by Beita’s residents in the areas surrounding Mount Sobeih.
The Red Crescent said that its teams treated four injuries with rubber bullets one of them in the chest while eight suffered breathing problems and one was wounded from falling during the clashes.
It pointed out that the youths started fires a few meters from the town junction while the IOF soldiers set up a temporary checkpoint at the main entrance to the town.
Six young men were martyred in Beita the last of whom was Imad Dwaikat who was killed on Friday after being shot in his chest by IOF soldiers.
