Dozens injured during clashes with IOF near Beita town

Thursday 29-July-2021

Dozens of Palestinian young men suffered injuries on Wednesday night during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at the junction of Beita town south of Nablus.

According to the Red Crescent eight young men had rubber bullet injuries and dozens other suffered from inhaling tear gas during the clashes.

One young man identified as Samed Diyab also suffered injuries after soldiers severely beat him.

During the same events young protesters were able to create a huge explosion-like sound to confuse the occupation forces near the main road at the Beita junction.

In recent months local youths from Beita town and other areas of Nablus started to organize nightly protests and engage in clashes with the IOF in the area around Mount Sobeih where an illegal settler outpost was set up.

During previous rallies the protesting young men torched tires used loudspeakers and flashed laser beams and flashlights at soldiers and settlers on the mount in order to create confusion and panic among them and prompt them to leave the area.
