Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Tuesday night and at dawn Wednesday a campaign of raids and arrests in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
In Jenin the IOF soldiers stormed the Jenin refugee camp spread in the alleys of the camp and climbed on the roofs of houses and buildings deploying snipers on the roofs.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that armed clashes broke out in Jenin after the soldiers stormed the Jabriyat neighborhood in the city and gunfire and explosions were heard.
IOF soldiers broke into the house of the ex-prisoner Abd al-Salam Abu al-Haijaa son of the Hamas leader the prisoner Sheikh Jamal Abu al-Haijaa searched his house and arrested him. Other citizens Mazen Al-Saadi along with his son Aws were also arrested.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that a special unit of the IOF kidnapped on Tuesday evening a young man while he was in his shop in the industrial zone of Jenin.
They added that IOF was stationed on Nazareth Street during the arrest before withdrawing towards al-Jalama crossing.
In Nablus confrontations erupted with IOF in Beita after the martyrdom of Shadi Salim by the IOF at the entrance to the town.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 106 civilians were injured including a citizen who was shot with live bullets 19 others were hit by rubber-coated metal bullets 72 fered breathing problems and 14 were beaten.
IOF arrested a citizen from Beita and another one from Odla village after they were ambushed by IOF on Mount Sobeih.
Abdul Majeed Hassan was arrested after raiding and searching his house in Qasra town south of Nablus.
In Salfit the IOF arrested Amin Mufid Salman from Derastia town northwest of Salfit.
In Ramallah IOF stormed the house of Muhammad Sorour tampered with its contents and arrested his son Tamim in Wadi al-Ein neighborhood in Ni’lin town.
The IOF soldiers closed on Wednesday morning the iron gate at the entrance to Ni’lin and blocked entry or exit from the town.
In Bethlehem IOF arrested two brothers 23 and 29 after storming and searching their homes in the Ta’amra area east of Bethlehem.
Hussam Abdullah 49 and his son Ibrahim 19 were also arrested from al-Saff Street in the center of Bethlehem.
IOF raided the Aida refugee camp north of Bethlehem and arrested two youths after raiding and searching their houses.
In Jerusalem the Israeli police arrested Obada Siam from Wadi Hilweh neighborhood in Silwan town.
