Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Monday that 64 new cases of the coronavirus and 117 recoveries were recorded after conducting 3335 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that no deaths were recorded in the West Bank and Gaza while the new infections were distributed as follows: Jenin 2 Bethlehem 1 al-Khalil 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 3 Nablus 1 and the Gaza Strip 55.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Jenin 3 al-Khalil 2 Nablus 7 Tulkarem 1 Tubas 1 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 Salfit 1 Jerusalem suburbs 1 and the Gaza Strip 100 the minister added.
She said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.5 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 5 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 548006 including 391730 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
