Seven Palestinians were wounded at dawn Monday by metal bullets and dozens suffered breathing problems while confronting the storming of Jewish armed settlers and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Halhul town north of al-Khalil.
Local sources said that ten buses carrying dozens of settlers arrived in Halhoul. Settlers raided the Nabi Yunus Mosque under the protection of the IOF performed Talmudic prayers and clashed with the citizens.
The IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at civilians wounding seven of them with bullets while others suffered breathing difficulty.
The settlers also stormed the shrine of Bir Musa under the IOF protection and performed Talmudic rituals.
On Sunday evening Jewish settlers set fire to large areas of the lands of Jalud village south of Nablus.
Ghassan Daghlas an official monitoring the settlement activity in the northern West Bank said that settlers of the Esh Kodesh settlement burned agricultural lands located on the eastern side of the village. This led to the burning of a number of olive trees and bales of hay.
Daghlas said that IOF prevented the citizens of the village and the neighboring villages from reaching the lands to put out the fire.
Jalud is constantly attacked by settlers who target citizens and their property.
