Um Abdullah the wife of the prisoner Sheikh Jamal al-Taweel confirmed that her husband is continuing his hunger strike for the 25th consecutive day on Sunday until achieving his demands.
She pointed out that her husband lost about 15 kilograms in weight. He also suffers from headaches and severe dizziness.
Taweel’s wife explained that there is no agreement until now with the Israeli Prison Service adding that the lawyer is still negotiating and they expect to get a response by the end of the day.
Um Abdullah held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the life of her husband saying “Administrative detention is unfair in the first place because it is detention without any charges or trail.”
She added that her daughter Bushra has a court hearing on 01/07/2021 noting that the lawyers were doing their best to end her detention.
Um Abdullah denounced the failure of human rights and international institutions to contact her adding that they should have a role in demanding an end to the Israeli policy of administrative detention.
Taweel 59 rejects the Israeli occupation’s decision to extend the detention of his daughter for another three months.
