The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday morning broke into and ransacked the main headquarters of the Health Work Committees (HWC) and a printing press facility in al-Bireh City.
According to local sources Israeli forces violently searched the HWC headquarters for several hours after destroying its main door.
According to Palestinian officials the forces rummaged through the HWC offices wreaking havoc on furniture and contents before confiscating four computers and putting up a written military order at the entrance stating the health facility would be shut down for six extendable months.
HWC director Shada Odeh said the Israeli decision to close the facility was taken under flimsy security pretexts pointing out that this was the second IOF raid on the facility in two months.
On March 8 Israeli soldiers also raided the HWC premises and seized the hard discs of seven computers and documents before leaving.
In another incident the IOF stormed and searched a press facility in the same city and issued a closure decision against it.
