Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Sunday night and at dawn Monday a campaign of arrests in the West Bank Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied lands.
In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police launched a campaign of arrests in different parts of the holy city and arrested 18 citizens.
The occupation intelligence officers raided the house of Malik Asila in the Old City of Jerusalem tampered with its contents and delivered a summons to him.
In Nablus IOF stormed Til village in a third attempt to arrest the candidate for the “Jerusalem unites us” list Imad Rayhan. Meanwhile Moaz Rayhan was arrested and he was later released after a field investigation and several hours of detention.
In Qalqilya IOF arrested Mustafa Mansour after breaking into Azzun town east of Qalqilya and searching his house.
In Ramallah the IOF soldiers arrested Musab Al-Barghouti from Kober town and Ahmed Raafat from Dura Al-Qara after raiding and searching their families’ homes.
IOF also stormed the towns of Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya and Bil’in.
In al-Khalil IOF arrested Saeed Asafra from the town of Beit Kahil west of al-Khalil.
In Bethlehem IOF raided Beit Fajar town and arrested Khattab Thawabata 24 who underwent surgery days ago Saoud Thawabata 30 and the wounded ex-prisoner Mahmoud Blue 25 after storming and searching their families’ houses.
The IOF soldiers arrested the young man Muhammad Abu al-Tin after they stormed and searched his home in the village of Al-Walaja west of Bethlehem.
The Israeli police announced earlier its intention to carry out a massive campaign of arrests targeting 500 Palestinians from the 1948 occupied territories who participated in protest marches.
Palestinian activists called on the people of the 1948 occupied lands the West Bank and Jerusalem to declare a state of emergency to thwart the occupation scheme against the Palestinians.
