One Palestinian elderly woman died and five other citizens suffered injuries in a renewed spate of violent Israeli airstrikes on the south of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources said that 56-year-old Sa’diya Abu Gharrara died after her heart stopped as air raids pummeled Rafah causing extreme panic among the local residents.
Five wounded civilians were also evacuated to Naser Hospital following aerial attacks on Khan Yunis.
According to local sources Israeli warplanes waged over 50 air raids in less than 10 minutes on civilian homes property and swaths of agricultural land in Khan Yunis and Rafah in southern Gaza.
The aerial attacks targeted houses roads infrastructure and resistance sites in Khan Yunis and Rafah the sources said.
Early Wednesday Israeli aerial and artillery attacks continued to pound different areas of Gaza destroying more homes and buildings and spreading panic among civilians.
The death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression against the embattled Gaza Strip rose on Wednesday to at least 218 Palestinians including 63 children and 37 women.
Israel’s military aggression which entered the 10th day has also wounded a total of 1500 civilians 50 of them seriously according to the latest statistics from the Gaza health ministry.
