Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Tuesday that 13 deaths 718 new cases of the coronavirus and 1502 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 6 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Jenin 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1 the suburbs of Jerusalem 1 Tulkarem 1 and Nablus 2 in addition to 7 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She said that the new infections were distributed as follows: Jenin 44 Tulkarem 24 Nablus 66 al-Khalil 50 Salfit 9 Qalqilya 8 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 48 Jerusalem suburbs 3 Bethlehem 5 Tubas 2 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 and the Gaza Strip 458.
The new recovery cases were divided according to the following: Jenin 51 Tulkarem 16 Nablus 241 al-Khalil 24 Salfit 19 Qalqilya 18 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 115 Jerusalem suburbs 0 Bethlehem 11 Tubas 11 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 2 and the Gaza Strip 994 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 93.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.5 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 129 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 41 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 259507 including 190051 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
