Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Monday that 11 deaths 565 new cases of the coronavirus and 779 recoveries were recorded in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied West Bank over the past 24 hours while no data were recorded in Jerusalem.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 5 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Tulkarem 1 Nablus 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1 Bethlehem 1 and Qalqilya 1 in addition to 6 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She said that the new infections were distributed as follows: Tulkarem 25 Nablus 81 Jenin 38 Tubas 6 Qalqilya 7 the suburbs of Jerusalem 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 19 Salfit 3 al-Khalil 9 Bethlehem 3 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 and the Gaza Strip 371.
The new recovery cases were divided according to the following: Tulkarem 23 Nablus 202 Jenin 23 Tubas 10 Qalqilya 26 Jerusalem suburbs 4 Salfit 7 al-Khalil 10 Bethlehem 13 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 3 and the Gaza Strip 458 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 93.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.8 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 133 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 39 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 258065 including 186040 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
