Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 15 deaths 512 new cases of the coronavirus and 1117 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 6 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Nablus 4 Tulkarem 1 and Jenin 1 in addition to 9 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She said that the new infections were distributed as follows: Qalqilya 11 Nablus 79 Tulkarem 23 Jenin 45 the suburbs of Jerusalem 4 Tubas 8 Salfit 10 al-Khalil 31 Bethlehem 12 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 53 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 3 and the Gaza Strip 233.
The new recovery cases were divided according to the following: Qalqilya 30 Nablus 71 Tulkarem 28 Jenin 70 the suburbs of Jerusalem 15 Tubas 20 Salfit 16 al-Khalil 67 Bethlehem 17 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 115 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 13 and the Gaza Strip 655 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 93.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.8 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 142 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 39 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 257851 including 184966 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
