A large number of Israeli police forces on Sunday night stormed Bab al-Amud area in the Old City of Jerusalem and embarked on dispersing and assaulting Palestinian citizens who gathered there.
According to local sources police forces arrested a young man physically assaulted others and seized Palestinian flags in Bab al-Amud.
Several young men suffered injuries in Bab al-Amud as police forces started chasing youths who rallied in the area and removed police barriers.
Meanwhile overnight clashes broke out between Jerusalemite youths and police forces in Beit Hanina neighborhood and near Qalandia crossing in the north of the holy city.
