The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned on Sunday the Israeli police attacks on Jerusalemites at the Bab al-Amud and in various areas of Occupied Jerusalem.
Dhaifallah Al-Fayez the ministry’s spokesperson said that the Israeli occupation attacks on Jerusalemites and the use of violence against them are unacceptable.
Fayez called on the Israeli authorities to adhere to their obligations as the occupying power in Jerusalem under international law to stop attacking Jerusalemites and not to impede their access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque especially during the month of Ramadan.
He warned of the consequences of the aggression on Jerusalem and its residents and called for effective international action to protect them from attacks.
Meanwhile Saeed Khatibzadeh the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said on Saturday evening that the Islamic Republic of Iran denounces the attacks of the Israeli police and the Jewish settlers on the Islamic holy sites in Occupied Jerusalem and the Jerusalemites.

He called on international institutions to act and stop human rights violations against the defenseless Palestinian people and the assault on Jerusalem’s holy sites.
