Several Jewish settlers torched dozens of perennial olive trees in Beit Fajjar town south of Bethlehem on Saturday.
Hassan Breijia an activist reported that a group of settlers burned down 50 olive trees in the Deir Mualla area north of the town.
The settlers came from the settlement of Migdal Oz which was established by the Israeli occupation in 1977 on the lands of Beit Fajjar.
Statistics indicate that 165000 Jewish settlers or 20% of the number of settlers in the West Bank live in settlements built on the lands of Bethlehem.
